Layered Chicken Enchilada Casserole Recipe

1 jar (26 oz) good salsa, divided
6 small corn tortillas
3 cups cooked shredded chicken
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Lightly oil a shallow casserole dish.

Build layers:

1/3 salsa, 2 tortillas, 1 cup chicken, 1/2 cup cheese.

1/3 salsa, 2 tortillas, 1 cup chicken, 1/2 cup cheese.

1/3 salsa, 2 tortillas, 1 cup chicken, 1/2 cup cheese.

Cover and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes or until top starts to brown slightly.

Remove and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Will serve 2 to 4.
