Smooth Chickpea Tahini Hummus Recipe
1 can (15 oz.) chickpeas, rinsed and drained well
1 garlic clove, peeled
1 Tbsp natural roasted sesame tahini
1/4 cup vegetable broth
1 Tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/2 to 1 tsp olive oil
kosher salt and black pepper to taste
Put the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, broth, lemon juice, and olive oil in a blender and pulse until smooth. Add more vegetable broth or olive oil if needed to get a smoother hummus. Taste and add salt and pepper to taste.
Remove to a bowl and serve immediately either on a crudite tray or with bread or crackers.
Will make at least 1 cup of finished hummus.

In a skillet, add the olive oil and onion, place over medium heat and cook until onion softens; set aside.
When the sweet potatoes and turnips are tender, remove from the pot and place in a large bowl. Smash together with a potato masher or pastry cutter or a large fork.
